DIY Scented Candles

A pleasant scented candle with added essential oil.

Necessary things:

Jar with a lid

Wax

Wick

Essential oil

Two pots are needed to melt the wax. Put the wax in a smaller pot, which we put in another pot with water. The same technique as when we melt chocolate for cakes. Heat until all the wax melts. After that, turn off the flame and let the wax cool a little (about 3 minutes), then add 1 or 2 small bottles (10 ml) of essential oil as desired and mix well. Then we pour the wax into a jar and release some wax that we will need later. When the top layer of wax is in the form of honey, it is ideal to put a wick. You can also use a wooden wick, which makes the flame look a little nicer, but the candle burns faster. Try to have the wick in the middle, so that the candle burns ideally. This part can be a little difficult. Allow the candle to cool to room temperature. Do not put it in the refrigerator or freezer because the candle will not form evenly. Let the candle cool for about 24 hours. When the candle cools, there will most likely be a small volcano-shaped crater in the middle. Melt the rest of the wax and carefully pour it into the middle. At the end, you can straighten the top layer with a hair dryer. Cover the jar so that the candle preserves its intensity. Dodajte naljepnicu na staklenku da izgleda lijepse.

Caution wax is very hot when it is in liquid form.

As the first layer, put small coal 1-2 cm high in the jar, it prevents the formation of bacteria or other harmful substances since the atmosphere is humid, then put a layer of sand to cover the coal, then sprinkle fine soil. Trim the tree so that it fits completely in the jar without touching the lid. Add a little more soil and compact the soil a little. Do not shake the jar too much so that the layers do not mix. Added other small plants and moss, and decorative pebbles.

Wrap the led tape under the lid and stick it with liquid glue.

Note: It is not necessary to water the area often, but spray once a month in a jar with water. Do not open the lid, so that moisture remains in the jar.

Herbarium frame

Framed dried flowers and plants for decoration.

Necessary things:

Dried flowers and/or plants

Photo frame (recommendation A4)

Decorative paper

Choose flowers or plants that you like. Put individually in a notebook with a small space. Place the notebook under some kind of load (approx. 7 kg). Do not squeeze, let it just squeeze over time so that the plants are not damaged. Place the notebook in a dry place together with the load. The process takes about a month and do not move the load.

After this time, carefully transfer the plants to the decorative paper and fix them with a little tape. Before that, you can add decorative details such as a name or some text to the decorative paper. Don't overdo it, sometimes a little is better. Then transfer everything to the photo frame. Dark wood frames go well with plants.
